ZION CONNEXIONS CHAPEL HAS ITS’ BLUE PLAQUE UNVEILED

Committee member Peter Connor came up trumps again with the unveiling of Batley History Group’s latest blue plaque at the Zion Chapel. This is the second plaque bearing the groups’ name and there are two others in the pipeline. Following on from the History Group’s first official blue plaque unveiling at Blakeridge Mills, it is hoped that the next plaque will be unveiled at the Zion Chapel on Commercial Street shortly…

ONLINE PETITION & CONSULTATION FORM TO COMPLETE TO SAVE OUR LIBRARY

Once again, our extremely magnificent library is under the threat of closure and we need you, the public to do your bit! Either look for the many paper petitions strewn around the town centre in a number of shops or, alternatively, sign the online petition. Also, if you could, please have a go at completing the online Kirklees consultation. However, a personal letter is equally, if not more so, effective! Write an open letter to Kirklees and tell them why we simply cannot afford to lose this most valuable service. The links to both the online petition & consultation are:
